What are Extended Services?
Schools and other agencies will provide a range of services and activities, often beyond the school day, to help meet the needs of children, their families and the wider community. Many schools already provide an expansive range of services and increased multi-agency working will enable these services to develop and focus on the needs that will maximise life chances for children, adults and the wider community.
What are the benefits of providing
Extended Services?
Extended Services providers will work closely with parents, pupils and members of the local community to provide services that match their needs. By doing so the benefits will include improvement in pupils self-confidence, more choice and flexibility for parents so that they have easier access to support services and improved access to facilities, resources and equipment for members of the local and wider community.
